One issue that often frustrates me is the poor compilation of Tender and Request for Proposal documents.
It frequently appears that previous documents were simply copied and pasted into new tenders, resulting in content that is largely irrelevant. This is particularly concerning because the Tender document includes forms that are not applicable, adding to the confusion for the responder. Responders are already feeling anxious and uncertain, and including unnecessary forms only complicates their situation.
Over the past six years, we have submitted numerous responses to tenders, requests for proposals, requests for quotations, and requests for bids, both in the Private and Public Sectors. Throughout this period, we have developed a systematic approach to compiling our tender responses. The steps we follow are straightforward and easily replicable. We definitely encourage our fellow tender responders to adopt the same methods and steps when preparing their responses.
