Bids are invited by the Municipal Manager of the BEAUFORT WEST Municipality for the Supply and Delivery of Personal Protective Clothing for a period of 3 years.

Bid documents including the full specifications are available from Mr. S Berg at the office of the Supply Chain Management Unit, Sanlam Building, 112 Donkin Street, BEAUFORT WEST, Tel. 023- 4148100 or electronically from the following e-mail addresses: stanleyb@beaufortwestmun.co.za. A non-refundable fee of R250 (Two Hundred and Fifty Rand), is payable for a set of documents. The fee must be deposited into the account of the Beaufort West Municipality at NEDBANK, Branch Code: 198 765, Account Number 107 428 0318. The reference number for confirmation of payment is: 10/10000/100/020110 and Bid Documents will be made available upon provision of proof of payment. Electronic documents are free of charge upon request.

Bids in sealed envelopes endorsed with the applicable bid number and the following heading “SCM 13/2021: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE CLOTHING” must be deposited in the TENDER BOX at the Office of SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT UNIT, at the Sanlam Building, 112 DONKIN STREET, BEAUFORT WEST, to reach the undersigned by not later than 14:00 on Friday, 14 May 2021, on which date bids received will be opened in public in the Committee Room of the BEAUFORT WEST MUNICIPALITY. Any person desiring to be present may attend.

Bids received in electronic format or after the closing time and date will not be considered. Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any Bid. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, e-mail and late Bids will not be accepted.

Bids must be submitted on the original documents and must be valid for a period of 90 (ninety) days after the closing date. Bids will be evaluated according to the 80/20 points system. The bids are subject to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act 2000, the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2017 and Council SCM Policy. Local content requirements is 100% applicable to bid document.

It is prerequisite that all prospective service providers who are not yet registered on the Central Supplier Database; register without delay by completing the prescribed online registration which are obtainable on their website www.csd.gov.za.
