How can a start-up business win a tender?

In the tender process, it is essential that an enterprise be knowledgeable of the supply it wants to bid for. In fact, the more knowledge the enterprise has of its supply, the better its odds are of being awarded a tender.

The question is ‘where or how do start-up enterprises gain experience?’ or, ‘can a start-up enterprise win a tender?’ The simple answer is yes, start-up enterprises can win tenders.

There are many people who dream of starting their own business. There are many people who actually go out and start their own business and then they fail dismally. There are horrific statistics of how many start-up businesses fail within the first two years. Some say as many as 80% of all start-ups fail within the first two years and of the remaining 20% another 80% fail in the following three years. The four businesses that survive the first five years will most probably be successful and exists for some time.

Can a startup enterprise be awarded a tender? The answer to this question is for the Organ of State that has issued the tender, to decide. But, there are definitely some things that a startup can do to ensure that it subscribe to the minimum requirements of a tender.
